Lenovo (via a press release)
It's also, for some time already, listed at PSREF: https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_X1_Carbon_Gen_13?tab=spec (https://psref.lenovo.com/Product/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_X1_Carbon_Gen_13?tab=spec)
If you're not desperate, wait for Panther Lake, it will fix a lot of problems with Arrow Lake and be built on Intel 18A and will also get vastly better iGPU using Xe3 Celestial. Lenovo are a joke not offering this with Strix Halo.

Same as Mercedes is a joke for not offering their cars with BMW's engines. Or AMD for not offering Nvidia's chips in their GPUs.
Finally.
I've been refreshing the X1 page every morning waiting for WWAN.
Now not only will we see WWAN but also a CPU upgrade.
I understand people waiting for Panther Lake, but this will be a huge upgrade over my existing system (1st gen P16S).
If we're lucky the Panther Lake system will finally get an ≥800 NITS display.
It's no longer a sub 1kg system as the title says. From psref:
Models with U or H series processor Starting at 1006 g (2.22 lbs)
Models with V series processor Starting at 986 g (2.17 lbs)
Hello -
any view on timing for the H series?
Best
What's going on with the X1 Carbon Gen 13?! Are they having supply chain issues? Available hardware options (CPU, screen, webcam, mobile broadband, trackpad, ...) change almost on the daily!
For instance, right now Lenovo Germany only offers the X1 Carbon Gen 13 with Arrow Lake U CPUs (no Lunar Lake anymore, and no Arrow Lake H), whereas up until a few days ago there was only Lunar Lake. A few months ago they briefly offered Arrow Lake H but then it was gone again.
I have had an eye on this machine since January but so far my desired configuration hasn't been available once. Unbelievable. I might as well wait for Gen 14 now...
Availability of processors depends on specific countries. In Germany, H series CPUs haven't been available for the X1 Carbon Gen 12 either, so it is no wonder that the X1 Carbon Gen 13 also skips them.
