Future MacBook Air models may be able to change their keycap legends at the press of a button. In a patent, Apple describes a technology that replaces conventional keyboard markings with LEDs, allowing keycaps to display customised symbols.

Just one more thing to go wrong. And since Apple doesn't believe in the user's right to repair, another thing to drive sales under their planned obsolescence business model.
