Title: Intel Xe2 Battlemage GPUs on the chopping block as Nvidia high-end slated to remain unchallenged
Post by: Redaktion on March 29, 2025, 02:06:32
Despite repeatedly appearing in leaks, it looks as though the Intel Xe2 Battlemage B770 GPU may have been cancelled. This leaves Nvidia entirely unchallenged in the high-end desktop GPU market unless AMD releases a higher-end RDNA 4 GPU soon.

Very disappointing if true. Intel also seems to have abandoned Lunar Lake Halo. This is not a good sign. Battlemage was going so well too. Sure it wasn't perfect and basically required a new system to run at its best, but it was still a welcome contender in the $250 bracket. A B700 series with 16/18/24 GB of VRAM for $299, $329, or $399 would have been awesome.

Yeah that would've been awesome and it would require Intel to lose money on every card sold. Not very realistic.
