Title: Nothing tries to justify why the Phone (3a) series uses UFS 2.2 storage
Post by: Redaktion on March 21, 2025, 01:10:50
Nothing has released an article explaining why its new phones — the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro — use UFS 2.2 storage and not a more recent and faster flash storage. The article attempts to convince readers that the phone's overall performance isn't dependent on the type of storage alone but a mix of factors.

The 2a uses ufs 2.2. No slowdowns. If you don't like it just don't buy it.

This isn't enough for me. I need to constantly berate them for it in every article as well.

I'm lucky enough to get the 3a and it's been awesome. Tbh I got the phone mostly on its aesthetics!

Nothing's Entire brand is a gimmick.... Its a wanabee enthusiast phone to try to re-capture the effect that the original 1+ did but carl pei basically sold his soul out and no longer understands what makes a device that captures hearts anymore

I honestly don't get the hate on Nothing. They're just trying to a dent in this dull, boring, copycat phone world.

Sure it's gimmicky as hell. But at least it  doesn't look like the thousand+ phones in the market currently.

Sure the specs is dirt. But I doubt you'll ever use 100%, let alone 50% of the most overkill hardware specs.

Not every phone has to cater to your extremely niche needs. If you don't like the phone because of one very specific thing, then don't buy it and don't create an entire persona just to hate on it.

It's the reason why that's no more great innovations anymore. Because one tiny change = a million complaints, even though everything else is perfectly fine.
