Tesla is preparing to ramp up vehicle production in the US significantly, spearheaded by an expansion of the Gigafactory in Texas and upgrades in Fremont to prepare for the Model 2 launch and Model Y Juniper ramp, as well as the cheapest RWD Cybertruck.

It's not cheap.To be revolutionary you need EVs under $20k.

The cheapest new vehicle in the US starts at about $18,000, and to say it's sluggish redefines the word.

A $20,000 Tesla EV would be revolutionary because it would be quick off the line and would have a 5-year total cost of ownership at least a third less than the smoker.

All speculation until the vehicle is introduced, of course, but highly likely based on what we know today. It would change the game in the US.
