It seems that CATL's prediction that Elon Musk won't be able to pull off the 4680 battery characteristics he detailed way back on Battery Day in 2020 might have some merit, as a teardown comparison with the BYD Blade battery cell suggests.

It'd be far more useful to compare two NMC chemistries in different form factors.
