The Asus Vivobook 18 is now available for prices starting at €899. The laptop is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 260 and 18.4-inch IPS screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio. This new notebook supposedly offers decent performance and a modern design, but is not exactly lightweight.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-Vivobook-18-inch-laptop-launches-with-AMD-Ryzen-7-260-and-big-16-10-display.974197.0.html
2.6kg for a 18.4" laptop is pretty good
It's been a long time that we haven't seen 18.4" laptops
Its said on the product page (in the website of asus), that the refresh rate is 144Hz and not 60Hz,
Look in the link you post in the end of the article
It look like the prefecet laptop for kids and student (price ect...)
If Asus is not dumb and gives it a full sRGB and also a better option of DCI-P3 for those movie/series lovers it might be a good option.
@LL
It says sRGB is covered in full here:

I appreciate that it is 16:10 and not 16:9, but I would hope for more resolution than 1920x in return for its gargantuan dimensions. 2240x1400 anyone?
Why Asus is not using AMD 300 series in this laptop?
1920 resolution it is like a toy. On 18 inch minimum 2K, but would expect 4K.
DO NOT MAKE 1920 ANYMORE PLEASE.

I agree, tautologically speaking. However, please don't forward the mistake of calling 2560x####* resolutions "2K"! This is a marketing misnomer. Apt terms include 2.5K (any), QHD (16:9), 1440p (16:9), or WQXGA (16:10).
