Title: Slew of early benchmarks tip AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D performance to match non-X3D chips in production workloads
Post by: Redaktion on February 24, 2025, 23:33:10
Early leaked benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D reveal that the new 3D V-Cache Zen 5 CPU is significantly faster than its predecessor in gaming tasks. Despite this, the 9950X3D still manages to keep up with the regular Ryzen 9 9950X in non-gaming workloads — an area where X3D CPUs previously fell flat.

This is hilarious. This same tech site has run a few stories about the disappointing performance of the X3D showing pitiful improvements and even more ridiculously regression for the 9900X3D in multithreaded scores. Given you don't have a clue, why not just wait for official reviews.

All I've read is that this cpu is disappointing for gaming when comparing to the 9800X3D.  Which is what i have currently paired with my 5090. I've read that from this very website, even.  More than once. So... wtf are you guys talking about ever?
