The new fuel cell module is expected to halve production costs and offer a threefold increase in volumetric power density compared to its predecessor. According to Honda, this model will enter mass production by 2027.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Honda-reveals-a-new-hydrogen-fuel-cell-that-halves-the-cost-with-tripled-energy-density.966155.0.html
Hydrogen is about $8 per gallon equivalent here. So $32 per gallon or more, seems legit.
The design seems compact enough, but the weight seems excessive for a vehicle.
Also, to make such an investment just to motorize 300 petty CR-Vs is a joke.
Honda needs to put the HFCs in some fancy car to show off.
My pain is the scarcity of hydrogen generators and charging stations.
I would love an autonomous Hidrogen generator from air or a stream, planted in each remote village on this planet, to generate energy for all domestic needs, including recharging HFC vehicles.
