Despite showing off the Radeon RX 9070 XT reference design graphics cards in both official marketing and accidental teasers, AMD will not let consumers buy these designs, instead allowing its AIB partners to have the run of the market for the RDNA 4.https://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-will-not-compete-with-AIB-partners-with-RX-9070-series-reference-designs.965674.0.html
I guess this will make the prices go very high. What a waste. AMD said they will do good by consumers by pricing low this time instead of trying to undercut nvidia like every time and now this.
I think the price to perf will still be very good since 9070 xt some times compared to 5080 but i think as the release is getting close i have a feeling that they will end up doing exactly the same as always, which is try to maximize profits by trying to undercut nvidia and also because reviews and feed back will be positive from tech experts which like everytime will not be enough for non tech people.
Only way they sway the non tech is by magically improving the features like raytracing and frame gen and media encoding etc by a lot
