In many areas, Xiaomi's Pad 7 Pro is better than an iPad Air 2024 but costs less than half the price. In particular, the Xiaomi Tab's 3K display is unrivaled in this price range. However, compared to the Xiaomi Pad 7, there is probably a catch with the Pro version.

lack of a strong update policy should be considered a deal breaker by now. there is basically no category where frequent upgrades make sense any more. it's a pointless expense and contributes to the e waste problem.

Qualcomm chip, Samsung SSD.  The screen probably comes from Samsung too.  For me these are no no's!  My ideal tablet using domestic Chinese CPU, Chinese SSD, BOE display.
