Google is not expected to begin issuing a major new Android 15 update until next month. In the meantime, the company has begun issuing the February 2025 security patch with a few useful bug fixes in tow.

I honestly don't get what the big deal is with making news stories about updates.  I have yet to see a single update that is like "WOW how have I lived this long without this???" Most updates I'm more like "eh...wake me up when it is finished downloading."
