A claimed supply chain leak touts new specs for the Apple's foldable iPhone. Supposedly, it will feature a stripped-back camera setup, an aluminium internal frame, and a 12-inch Samsung internal display. The folding iPhone will also allegedly be one of the thinnest foldable smartphones around when it launches in late 2025 or early 2026. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Supply-chain-leak-tips-folding-iPhone-to-be-among-thinnest-foldable-phones-specs-include-12-2-inch-display-and-dual-camera-setup.957599.0.html
12.2" screen? There is no way that this folding iphone will have a screen even close to that size.
Putting two 6" screens side by side does not yield a 12" screen. You would have to double the height and width for a 6" screen to become a 12". If anything, it'll be smaller than an 8" screen when unfolded.

Yeah, you've got a point. It didn't occur to me to check the calculations on that one, but double checking, it seems like it'll be close to 7.7 inches diagonally if Apple sticks to the current 19.5:9 aspect ratio. I'll add a note to the article. Thanks for the correction.
Yeah sorry, this thing sounds more like a foldable iPad Mini than an iPhone.
