Samsung brought 16 GB of RAM as an option to the Galaxy Z Fold series last year with the release of the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. According to a new report, this will not extend to the Galaxy Z Fold7, which will gain Samsung's ProScaler display algorithm and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset globally instead.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Samsung-Galaxy-Z-Fold7-tipped-to-launch-with-ProScaler-and-Qualcomm-Snapdragon-8-Elite-for-Galaxy-but-just-12-GB-RAM.954450.0.html
I'm so done with Samsung. Time for the open fold 2
The important point here is: do not buy the Fold 7 immediately. Wait a few months to see if they do that nasty move of selling a superior version soon after the standard 7's release, as they did last year. Yes, there are superior alternatives by design or mechanism, but if you're in the Samsung ecosystem, you're better off getting the 7. Delaying buying is always the better option anyway: the standard Fold 6's price dropped by up to 50% within three months of its release last year in online stores (in Europe). Samsung still charge 2k€ while other places charge nearly or at 1k€.

Agreed. I waited about 4 months before I traded in my fold 4. The price drop and the trade in deals months later couldn't be passed up. Just be patient and the urge.
