Google has identified a battery issue with the Pixel 4a and has recently started to roll out an update to affected smartphones on January 8th. However, this update may cause significant issues according to numerous user complaints.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Pixel-4a-software-update-causes-massive-battery-issues-Google-pays-50-and-offers-other-solutions.950970.0.html
The "funny" thing about "In order to calm down disgruntled Pixel 4a users, Google is now offering three solutions for this annoying issue" is that THIS "solution" is as screwed up as the software update. I'm into week 2 of trying to get anyone to tell me why my Pixel 4a fails their update criteria because my Pixel 4a "isn't a Pixel device". I've been passed around to 4 different groups and none has accomplished anything. Especially funny is when GOOGLE demanded my receipt from the GOOGLE Store to prove it was a legit phone.
So replacing the battery to new one will help?
Or the update will cause the problem with the new battery also?
