Title: OnePlus Open 2: Oppo compares the world's thinnest foldable with the almost twice-as-thick iPhone 16 Pro
Post by: Redaktion on January 20, 2025, 01:01:44
Official images from Oppo compare the world's thinnest foldable, scheduled to be launched in February, directly with the iPhone 16 Pro,    which is almost twice as thick. This follows recent images that compared the thickness of the new record-breaking foldable to coins and a stack of credit cards.

Can't wait for this phone, and it looks so slim, but it's a bit odd to showcase it as being half the thickness of an iPhone 16.

When opened, yes.  So as long as you literally never close it, then yes, it's half as thick as an iPhone 16.

But it's not.  No one is jamming that thing in their pocket wide open.

Excited nonetheless!

I find it funny how we are back full circle with 2014. A full 10 years to get back into the slim trend and then have all sorts of bending issues whilst sacrificing battery life.
