Xiaomi is tipped to launch a second-generation clamshell-style foldable Android smartphone with potentially substantial upgrades such as the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for top-end handsets. Despite that, it is also now said to miss out on a feature that is often bruited about as a bragging right for other devices of its class.

The previous phone had 2x zoom lens which can be easily emulated with digital zoom but this one have ultrawide which can't be emulated with software.
