Russian-made technology has always been decades behind most of the modern world in performance. The only hardware that performs decently has been military, and even then, they're software systems are often a generation or two behind their counterparts. It's unfortunate that the Russian government in so ingrained in isolation and keeping the same folks in power for decades,as that has heavily factored into stagnated thinking and development of technology. But in this case that might be a good thing, because I would never buy any technology based devises devolved in Russia, just as I avoid those from China. You simply can't trust electronics from a country that has for decades built and used their technology for spying on others. Some of the world's foremost hackers work for the Russian government. Buying their technology is inviting a thief into your home and expecting them to not steal you blind. It's in their government's nature.

You do realize that nearly all electronics are built in china...right...? Whether it has a "big companies" name on it or not is irrelevant. Just look whats going on with tp-link right now. They are about to be banned because of what was found hidden in their hardware.
