Ventiva's solid-state ICE cooling system utilizes ionic propulsion to generate airflow, resulting in near-silent operation with no moving parts. Although laptops with the fancy new cooling system have already been teased to be unveiled at CES 2025, there are a few notable disadvantages that must be kept in mind.

The title "shockingly"... I see what you did there... Lol.

Yup: O3, static electricity & static shocks will probably be an issue (and price, and not being suitable for high pressure scenarios).

Yep, sure looks dicey on paper.Ventiva says they've got solutions and a laptop with this technology is already en route, so we shall find out soon enough.

Meanwhile, my smartphone which is very small with no fan can play 4K without issues.

Yeah, my phone also doesn't have a fan and it can take pictures without issues!
