The MSI MAG 321CUPDF is the latest gaming monitor that supports two display modes. While the VA monitor outputs natively at 4K and 160 Hz, it can also switch to 320 Hz when needed by dropping its resolution to 1080p.

Refresh rate dual modality is an objective upgrade to any display, generally speaking. Nonetheless, it is strange that manufacturers have still yet to rectify this linearization of the quadratic complexity of resolution scaling. If it has the bandwidth for 4K at 160Hz, then it has the same for 1080p at 640Hz, not just 320Hz.

The quoted stats are solid, in any case.
