The U.S. Department of Commerce and the American company, Intel, announced an agreement on $7.9 billion in direct funding for semiconductor manufacturing projects. This is the largest direct funding ever granted by the U.S. federal government to a company.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-got-a-7-9-billion-grant-from-Biden-administration-for-semiconductors-projects.924079.0.html
Oh my God, a private company bailed out with all of our taxes, this was not done with AMD.
In any case, we have to watch the money because Intel has wasted a lot of money in the last 3 years to make very bad products, which is why people are currently choosing laptops and PCs with AMD such as the Ryzen 9000x3D range, which unfortunately are all sold out not only here in the US but also in Europe.

Quite literally every semiconductor company got "bailed out", but Intel will benefit the most ($7.9bn, as stated here). And why did they get the biggest share? Because most of their fabs are still in the US where most of the work is still done, unlike with competitors. They do have packaging sites outside the country tho.
