The Snapdragon 8 Elite brought an improved GPU, and a recent gaming test shows that the next-gen SoC can run Cyberpunk 2077 locked at 60 FPS.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Snapdragon-8-Elite-allegedly-runs-Cyberpunk-2077-at-60-FPS-via-emulation.920437.0.html
Interesting...
so while the "Snapdragon 8 Elite" is getting the attention here one has to wonder if the "Snapdragon 8 Elite" OUTPERFORMS the "Snapdragon X Elite" and why the "X Elite" seemingly did not get all the praise we're seeing here?
Granted the 'monkey wrench' is the x86 emulator and if it runs on 'Win-on-Arm' or Android as well as who made it - IE: Microsoft or other 3rd parties.
However I'd have to imagine that the Snapdragon X Elite would outperform the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Hopefully SteamDeck 2 is ARM. Valve is capable of extending Proton to run on ARM. And that would solve Steam on MacOS, too!
The write-up needs improvement as I've always pointed it out, some sentences don't flow well enough for a smooth reading.Notebookcheck we plead with ya.
Also I belive it these emulators get so good, these PC manufacturers might pull a Nintendo on these emulator makers.
Coz imagine being able to play these recent games on your smartphones ,surely it won't overtake the PC markets for sure....buh might somehow cannibalise profit some way or the other.
Not even the SD elite on a laptop with TDP 5-8x higher runs CB2077 properly, fake frames ftw haha
Wow, looks like the Cyberpunk is a new Doom that we will run on calculators and microwaves soon?
Well, great enough, if it can run Cyberpunk 2077,it can run Monster Hunter Wilds. That's the new base for PC building and phone picking.

I would agree to the "new base for PC building" if it was 60 fps at *native* 720p resolution. But not if it was upscaled from some lower resolution. Unfortunately they don't tell us.
This not-telling-us whether FSR and/or Frame Generation was used, has become really annoying....
