Nintendo is suing streamer Jesse Keighin for allegedly pirating and streaming unreleased games, bypassing takedowns, and promoting emulators. The lawsuit seeks nearly $7.5M in damages for copyright infringement.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Nintendo-sues-streamer-for-7-5M-over-pirated-gameplay-and-promoting-Switch-emulators.916041.0.html
Better be careful using a screenshot containing Nintendo IP in your article. They'll probably try to sue NotebookCheck next.
Yeah, honestly, Nintendo is kind of in the right in this if this guy decided to prod the bear multiple times like this. It's also a massive problem to be streaming unreleased content for so many different reasons, on top of the fact that he was clearly in support of pirating. Sure $7.5 million is a lot, but it'll A. Likely get reduced in the event Nintendo wins and B. Kind of has to be large enough to send a message, kind of like the case of Gary Bowser, though he was guilty of far more than just feeding into pirating with the kill code he setup that permanently bricked several people's Switches because he was paranoid of people pirating his own Switch mod program. As they say, mess with the bull, you get the horns.

LOL!!! "kind of in the right" !?!?!?!?
So broadcast to the entire planet that your playing UNRELEASED IP and what else would you expect?
(who CARE's if he was playing it on a EMULATOR!! It is unreleased IP!!)
So this dudes "5min of fame" was VERY costly!! LOL!!!
Great. This is the last thing we need. Nintendo is trying to gaslight everyone that emulation is illegal, and here comes along a moron bragging that they can't do anything about him flagrantly pirating their games in a way that very definitely affects their buisness in a negative way.
