In an interview with TechCrunch, Carl Pei, the CEO of Nothing, talked about plans to build a custom operating system. Pei noted the market dominance of iOS and Android but says there's still potential for something different.

No need.

There's no need to keep re-inventing the wheel. A hardened OS based on Android 11/12/ or 13 with all of the current security updates backported and oxygen OS s' app switcher "lock features" is what is needed
