An official-looking PlayStation 5 Pro spec sheet has shown up online. It confirms many of the console's key specs, including a Zen 2 CPU, a new 16.7 TFLOPS RDNA GPU and max power consumption of 390 Watts. https://www.notebookcheck.net/PlayStation-5-Pro-spec-sheet-allegedly-leaks-online-8-core-Zen-2-CPU-confirmed-along-with-16-GB-GDDR6-memory.912497.0.html
Only 2GB of ram ? That doesn't sound right 🤔

enough for os and stuff
Bahahaha!!!
"But... but... but... the PS5 ProNOUN will out perform the 4070" FOOLISHNESS garbage from shills/fanatics all over the place! 😂
This thing is the equivalent of a CUSTOM ~6800 (non-xt) at best with a bump of yesterday's tech in RT and upscaling prowess.
The 2GB of ram is dedicated to the OS (which is super optimized) to reserve more memory for the GPU

Exactly!! LOL!!
So while we still don't know if it is made up with a custom APU or a custom APU WITH a custom dedicated GPU (external to the package) we DO know:
- AMD DOES have silicon that CAN compete with the 4070
- Stuffing THAT silicon along with an old CPU into the same package IS possible but not likely
- an Nvidia 4070's nearest AMD equivalent is a AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT, which sits around the $500-550 mark, surely NOT silicon that Sony would be able to include in the PS5-Pro at its current price point

I still don't get it. My PC = 16GB VRAM on dGPU, 32GB RAM, and the games easily take over 10GB RAM and 12GB VRAM in 4k gaming. How can playstation do with just 16GB VRAM, no RAM (since those 2GB RAM is alocated for OS)?
Or is the 16GB not VRAM but actually RAM for everything (shared with GPU) ? If so is it so well optimised, that for what I need 20+ GB on PC, I can only get away with 16 on PS5?
