Apple has finally released a Mac mini with a smaller design. Not only is the new mini-PC much smaller than previous Mac mini units, but it also comes with 16 GB of RAM as standard and an optional Apple M4 Pro chipset that adds Thunderbolt 5 connectivity.https://www.notebookcheck.net/New-Mac-mini-now-official-with-Apple-M4-Pro-Thunderbolt-5-and-first-redesign-in-over-a-decade.910580.0.html
How cute.
Apple finally caught up with the NUC form factor Intel introduced what, ten years ago?
Well, better late than never, I guess.
To be fair it is the first redesign in 14 years.
But knowing Apple, my biggest worry is that there's a catch with 16 GB RAM base model, that paired with 1 TB storage is (most likely) FAR cheaper than M3 8 GB / 512 GB was and still is. Pretty unreal if that happens with Apple. Or they will make 16 GB to be like 8 GB for the user and 8 GB dedicated strictly for AI. There is some catch, lol. If I'm wrong I'll get that base model + 1 TB, I was eyeing M3 16/1 for some time but with all improvements around the M4 I was patient to see this one.
Looks chunky and slow. maybe one day they can design and engineer a top tier product to rival literally any Windows OEM.

Yeah, needs spoilers and wings, plus racing-themed colours all over it, to look fast.
