According to reports, Apple wants to make iOS more attractive for gamers. A gaming app as a central point of contact for gamers could primarily promote social interaction, but also make game management easier and provide useful functions. https://www.notebookcheck.net/Apple-to-launch-new-app-as-gaming-hub-for-iOS-users.906481.0.html
Not sure what to think of this - is it actually "news" at all?
Apple already has a 'game center' which has ALL the features that were mentioned other than any monthly cost.
Unreal and a few others already have the ability to export cross platform games to almost anything with a processor in it, the mentioned games along with "MIR4" and a few others come to mind.
What Apple is really after here is another reoccurring revenue stream to tap into.
