China unveils world's largest floating wind turbine: a 20-megawatt giant with a 260-meter rotor diameter. This breakthrough in renewable energy can power 37,000 homes annually, save 25,000 tons of coal, and reduce CO2 emissions by 62,000 tons per year.

Tiny drop in the ocean. 37000 homes in a population of 1.4 billion. How many birds will be killed? There is. afar better alternative to wind turbines based on wave power that can operate in any conditions and causes no environmental harm, and has far lower maintenance.

Wonder how many tons of co2 and coal it took to build and maintain.

37000 homes only when wind is blowing..
and will they bury the blades into the sea after end of life, like what they do for terrestrial turbines?  yeah, co2 bla bla bla
