I'm sorry but the assumption that the mere existence of a 'new' or 'better performing' product will induce customers to ditch what they currently have and purchase is comical at best!!!

Sales (esp Apple's) are slumping as whatever the market currently has works well enough AND folks are tired of being price gouged by Apple.

Sadly or comically the products/markets Apple is currently in has been done to death and unless they (and OTHERS!) invent some NEW initiative products fairly soon their 'incremental updates' will be rejected by the market.

Microsoft is doing its somewhat shady practice of forcing market adoption by arbitrarily EOL'ing Win 10 - which people seem to like more than Win 11 while also having perfectly usable computers for email, work, productivity, etc.. if the user really wants AI and do not want to run it on the GPU, then they can upgrade if they want. But if a user doesn't care about it and has no use for it, their computer is dead because the OS is finished. At least Apple isn't forcing M1 or later owners to have to upgrade.
