Adobe has killed perpetual licenses for its Elements software lineup with the launch of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements 2025. After three years of use, users will be blocked from launching and using the Elements 2025 software. The 2025 software adds more features and Apple M3 CPU support.

Complete cash grab from these companies. I would use PhotoShop once in a blue moon...

$22.99 plus taxes each month? So essentially like what $90 each use to cut and paste some pictures around?

US software is a super-ripoff these days.

Absolutely criminal behaviour from Adobe. If you buy Elements under perpetual license, it's simply outrageous they can just stop it working after 3 years. DoJ needs to step in and launch a criminal investigation. These scumbags are already under investigation for their dodgy actions for using your images to train their AI and for how hard it is to terminate monthly subscription. Time to break them up like Google.

It's reasons like this why piracy is at an all time high right now and I don't blame people. there's no reason to ever give these corporations any more money.
