Succeeding the now ancient Microsoft Write, which was released in 1985, WordPad arrived with Windows 95 almost three decades ago. Sadly, Windows 11 24H2 will remove this app once it gets installed, and no successor is planned. In the future, Microsoft suggests users to replace WordPad with Notepad or Word, but those who want can keep using it.

Is there a similar "solution" for the Paint 3D app that is also being removed from the Store? Millions of students are working with it in computer labs at schools right now.
