Sadly, if hospitals had proper budgets to hire enough staff to handle patients accordingly, they wouldn't need to waste funds on an AI system that may sound all spiffy and cheap in comparison at first, but is going to cost a ton in maintenance and upgrades over time.

I agree wholly. Trust me, I wanted to mention the countless shortcomings of the current Canadian healthcare system (and why it is that way), but chose to approach this research in a slightly more optimistic manner. Plus, no one likes reading through 500-word articles.

Fantastic system. Just make sure it's used with full respect to patient privacy.

Why are they mutually exclusive. The AI initiative will be a. critical aid no matter what and if the tech is proving to save lives then use it. This is yet another example how AI can be a great tool. Most people equate AI with ChatGPT type crap.

Doesn't sound like you've been paying attention, public health systems around the world are critically underfunded to make way for privately-owned/operated solutions instead, an AI tool is just to cover up the issue under the false pretense they are trying to solve the problem in some way.

Humm... large database of causes, effects & solutions = perfect application of AI.

Frankly I can't think of ANY Doctor who would NOT want to have the entire history of the medical industry at their fingertips to help their patients.

You've forgot to put "hallucinating" somewhere in this sentence.
