Something to think about.
The main reason tech companies constantly have to one up each other has nothing to do with the actual need or utility of a product: it's solely to get you to either buy (if you haven't already seen a need to) or upgrade (if you have). That's literally what they are trying to 'inspire' you to do.
As consumers who are giving these companies our hard earned money (well... for varying degrees of 'hard earned...'), maybe we should be less inspired and more critical and thoughtful of our actual use and need.
