French authorities have charged Telegram CEO Pavel Durov with facilitating the distribution of child sexual abuse content on the platform (and more). Arrested near Paris, Durov - a resident of Russia, France, the UAE, the states of Saint Kitts and Nevis - is now facing restrictions on leaving France.

That's nonsense.. they charge Telegram for providing true privacy to the users.. I hope Pavel will find a way.

Telegram is not encrypted by default and stores all your conversations on their servers.  It has nothing to do with privacy.

If you know that, you should understand that we are not talking about default settings here nor app downloaded from Apple/Google store..
