Samsung AI smart TVs which run Tizen OS, will join its flagship Galaxy smartphones in receiving seven years of OS upgrade. The decision was made to give it an advantage over rival brands.

All the more reason to attempt to find a "dumb"  TV that has NO OS that requires or needs 'updating' and simply use an inexpensive 'streaming stick' that can be tossed/replaced when/if it becomes non-functional.

Then again OEM's WANT us to be replacing our TV's.
