Title: Black Myth: Wukong smashes the competition with 2.22 million Steam players mere hours after launch
Post by: Redaktion on August 20, 2024, 23:35:10
Mere hours after launch, Black Myth Wukong has shattered Steam records, having accrued 2.2 million concurrent players on Steam a mere 12 hours after launch. The only game it has not yet surpassed in peak player count is PUBG: Battlegrounds, which peaked at 3.2 million players in 2018.

"staying power of something like PUBG or DOTA 2"

Free-2-play vs €/$59,99 retail doesn't really count, you know and... Wukong biggest numbers (its 1st-weekend numbers just in a few days) are not even in yet.

Other store front numbers & the PS5's numbers are also super crazy right now.

Like I've said... over & over... PC gaming, especially 3rd-person single-player titles, are extremely live today but what is not live and what is dying fast is... agenda-driven (WOKENESS) nonsense and these SJW's games, and its devs/studios, will perish as they continue to write their last few remaining agenda-driven stories. Good riddance!

As mentioned elsewhere the METRIC that studios OUGHT TO LOOK AT is that this is a OFFLINE SINGLE PLAYER game and is VERY POPULAR!!!

Is it just me or does the industry release 10:1 (multiplayer/online vs singleplayer/offline)

Now if only they cook the bugs out!
