Released in early May 2024, the Sony Bravia 8 OLED TV with the model number K-55XR80 packs PlayStation 5-exclusive features alongside a Dolby Vision HDR-rated visual experience. Available on Amazon for $1,998 at launch, it is now listed at $1,799.99. However, a mere 6% discount brings this 55-inch smart TV to the all-time low price of $1,698.

This is not completely true. This handicap TV ONLY support **streaming services** (fake DoVi p5) & BluRay UHD on disks. NO LOCAL DoVi is supported.

And... these handicap TVs also doesn't support local *lossless* TrueHD Atmos and many other audio formats for such a so-called "premium" brand product that has extreme limitations... on purpose! 😏
