The RTX 40 GPUs may become harder and pricier to buy in the coming days as Nvidia has seemingly drastically reduced the supply of the Ada Lovelace cards. The supply cut is reportedly triggering a price increase from Nvidia's AIB partners like ASUS.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Gamers-to-get-hit-with-RTX-40-series-price-increases-as-Nvidia-reportedly-initiates-massive-supply-cut.870067.0.html
is this a tactic to clear out inventory? Nvidia will feel smart once they get a surge of 40 series sales because of this news.

it`s because AMD offerings aren`t that good. Even old 3080 ti is as fast in most Ray Traced games as 7900 XTX and 3080 ti is old, last generation card. AMD got nothing to fight RTX 4080 and 4090 and pure raster performance gets less and less important.
Add to that dlss > FSR and other features and the picture is clear in the high end.
AMD is only competetive in the market segment below RTX 4070 super.
Man I'd love to sell my 4090 for 1500-1600 it's a year old and barely been used if it gets hectic hopefully I can lol I wanna downgrade and get a AMD card.
