Qualcomm wants to revolutionize the laptop market with the Snapdragon X Elite. Our reviews of the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 shows us that Qualcomm puts too much emphasis on performance in tryping to do so.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-6-Qualcomm-has-the-wrong-focus-with-the-Snapdragon-X-Elite.868711.0.html
Author seemingly doesn't realize that noise and temperature are the properties of cooling system, which is plain inadequate in lenovo gen 6. One fan, no heat pipes for 65W cpu. Laptop looks inside like a bunch of quickly tossed in oem components.
Well maybe if Lenovo stopped making Thin-pads instead of Thinkpads they'd have room to put in components to adequately cool any CPU.
I fail to see how it is Qualcomm fault, there are also Intel and AMD CPUs with high power consumption but somehow I never saw anyone blaming them if the laptop is unable to keep up with its specified TDP
Hell, even if Qualcomm were the only one making such laptop's CPUs, OEM can choose other CPU that fit better for such high efficiency usage
OP didn't even add context to what "under load" means. What software is used? Are they native to both platform? Is one actually trying to work faster or doing more work? But well....
80W with ARM?!? what's the point of ARM then?
Wow...and ppl actually believe in these types of reviews? Guy didn't even provide any numbers or metrics to prove what he was observing. Do better...
