You don't even know how a tesla works, along with the WSJ because nothing they said here is relevant to FSD, all the elon quotes are about FSD (not autopilot), and the former employee is actually just stupid. The way he explains the cameras makes absolutely zero sense, and he is using Full Self-Driving NOT autopilot, even though he said otherwise. AND to make things worse FSD doesn't even work the same way as autopilot, so he's explaining a system incorrectly, while driving the UNRELATED system.

Elon musk is a b$%*#
just don't ruin all your work by putting in irrelevant quotes, videos, and ignorant ex-employees.

If Tesla didn't leverage some of the FSD capabilities for Autopilot or vice versa, then there is something wrong with their design. It makes sense to use the perception side for both, and the issues noted are related to vision. If Autopilot can't see obstacles, then FSD will face the same problem. It could be a camera issue or even an AI issue, as mentioned in the article "Why AI is Not the Solution for FSD?" (google)
