It took them a major flop to realize that people don't want to spend $3.5K on useless gimmicks? Funny company.
I still think the high price and hardware features would be a lot easier to sell if the AVP had suited uses that make the "spatial computing" thing shine.
Using only to have a large 2D virtual screen floating in a 3D space is nice but not essential, the weight/fatigue is a big issue as well, and there are features that are admittedly totally misconceived (the outward facing screen is pointless, the ghostly avatars, etc).
Sure a cheaper model cannot hurt, but I still don't see a convincing point to getting one of these things.
