Never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather buy a Chinese electric car than any German car. But I guess that's why the Europeans and the U.S. are putting tarifs on the chinese autos. No other way to compete with them.
The Tesla base Model S is dual-motor not single motor. Also a well known fact. Tesla lies about their range. Porsche probably not. My Tesla Model S (405 mile range) is lucky to get 300 miles on the road and I usually recharge at 225 to 250 on long road trips. My wife's MB EQS 580 with 340 mile range has about the same range or more as my Tesla. Both are 2022 model year.

Base Model S varies on where you are. In US for example, in 2024, base Model S is dual motor.
They aren't lying about their range btw, just Tesla takes the 5 cycle test which is same test ICE cars take. While many brands that produce low production cars take a shortcut to save money and take the 2 cycle test + 20% penalty. This is why the EPA test became useless ever since they introduced the 2 cycle test shortcut. What is the point if everyone is not taking the same test? This is why you should look at the European WLTP test instead, even though it is less strict than the EPA test, at the very least they are all taking the same test
On the WLTP, the Model S gets only 19 miles more range
