Canon has unveiled the EOS C400 camera for filmmakers. The 35mm full-frame CMOS sensor has a base ISO option of 12,800 and a maximum 6K 60P resolution for high-quality recordings in low-light situations. The improved autofocus has human and animal subject tracking across the entire frame. The camera can be controlled over IP networks while streaming live videos.

This is already much better than the pathetic products of Panasonic and Nikon! But 6k is not enough to make 4k@60 4:4:4 video after post-processing. You need 8k 4:2:0 minimum. The bitrate is excellent, but the camera weighs a lot.

And the price is simply insane for basically 6k resolution in 2024.

No idea what camera makers are thinking but the prices are absolutely insane.
