The Nothing Phone 2 is turning a year old next month, and Carl Pei, the CEO, has just talked about its successor. As per the video he posted on X, the company's next flagship phone is set for next year, and it will be all about AI.

The AI hype train has come and past. No one cares anymore, not consumers anyway. AI for businesses might still be enticing, but no consumer has seen anything AI that makes them say "I WANT TO BUY THAT!"

There must a conspiracy to make the entire world gag by slapping the word AI to everything, everywhere, for any sort of use case. On-device "AI" promises are such completely pointless features that nobody asked for anyway.
