Title: Asus ROG Mjolnir packs 768 Wh battery, four sockets and USB-C into a hammer case
Post by: Redaktion on June 05, 2024, 03:20:24
ROG Mjolnir is intended to provide an uninterrupted supply of portable power, as the gigantic power bank in the shape of a hammer is supposedly able to supply a gaming tower with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with power for a whole hour.

The recent Asus warranty fiasco makes this a risky purchase, if it's even worth it considering Asus prices. Price for these things have decreased a lot over the past two years, lifepo4 is getting cheaper and cheaper. There are better companies to buy one of these from with a longer and better track record.

Forgetting for the moment how SILLY and UNPRACTICAL this "thing" is,

currently there are COUNTLESS Li & LFP 'power bank' models on the market.

ALL of which DON'T come with Asus sketchy support or silly 'ROG' branding. :)

Not to mention that a 100Ah LFP currently retails for ~$175USD and a ~300W Sinewave Inverter for ~$100USD (or less) the parts of a very functional 'power station' can be assembled for MUCH less than whatever Asus is asking for here.
