The product builds on the original model, with finger vein imaging offered as a more accurate biometric unlocking tool. Xiaomi and related brands ie roborock, aqara are one of the only chinese companies that restrict the use of their products in the global market.
Not a huge problem that they want to sell their products for a bit more in the west... Western consumers probably have higher after sales service expectations...
But why do they have to restrict or delay availability for months up to a year for Western markets?
