LG's Innotek divison has won its latest Edison Award for its advanced optical zoom module for smartphones. The company claims that a device with one of these lenses will be able to take images of the highest quality possible at magnification of up to 5x without the usual super-prominent camera hump. Meanwhile Vivo is getting ready to launch their x100 Ultra in May with a nice 100mm 200MP periscope zoom lense, time to catch-up and improve, were getting close to a new level of pro camera and most important versatility in the zoom range.
If only LG is still around in the smartphone market. I still love seeing their bravery to be out of the norm, especially with the V50/G8X/V50S/V60/Velvet Dual Screen case and Wing 5G. I own both the Wing and the V50 with its Dual Screen case, and they're still turning heads way more than the foldable phones.
