The new update to fitbit is horrible!!! Hard to navigate and not userfriendly

Yes, I hate the new Fitbit sleep tracking thing. I haven't had a sleep score for 10 days plus now this really sucks.

The sleep upgrade is very difficult to navigate and i question the accuracy of the data.

I agree with all the negative comments.  For two weeks, I have contacted Fitbit customer service to find out what is happening.  When they start to go through the drill of "what wrist do you wear the device on" I tell them I have been a Fitbit device wearer for 10 years and don't need a tutorial.  Then they tell me to go to the comments section of Fitbit and express my displeasure.  I end with a statement that I'm going to buy an Apple Watch and get an iPhone. I'm still trying to get used to the new layout and at the age of 79, I don't need the headache.

I hate it and am looking for a new watch to replace it with.  The sleep data isnt as accurate. Tells me Im awake when I was asleep and asleep when Im reading. You should have left it alone google. It worked great before you messed it up.

Ok I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the new sleep tracker looked less than desirable. I don't even bother looking at it anymore, looking for a new brand altogether.

I absolute hate the change made to the sleep app on my charge5. It's terribly hard to read and is not accurate. The old version was great and I don't understand why you would change it!!

I absolutely hate the new sleep update.  Its hard to read, you can't see the times that you were in each sleep mode and it doesn't even have accurate data.  Not sure why the sleep area of the app needed to have this update. It's the 2nd most area I look at each day after I review my steps.  Please change it back to what it was before.

I have to agree with the consensus in this forum.  The new app is a marked downgrade.
Looking into a Samsung after years of Fitbit use.

I don't like it either I could previously see easily the time I was asleep or awake
 Can't see that now.   I thought it was only me! 

I absolutely hate this new version of sleep the sleep tracker.

I dislike it very much, I also dislike that they made a standard feature now part of premium. The older format was nice and pleasing to the eyes.

Where do we get to vote for the change regarding sleep?  They took away so much information.  I will be switching to another smartwatch after years of loving Fitbit!!

I agree with majority of comments...new sleep update confusing. Data doesnt seem accurate. Sleep add button..for what? Isn't watch supposed to capture data? I don't know what to add...I was asleep! Who set sleep timeline? I didnt! Must be defaulted, settings/activity/sleep has nothing set up. Other sleep stats & sleep timeline stats dont calculate to total sleep. Oxygen stats...learn more info doesnt tell enough. What does flat line mean? Was I dead?? Lol. Tweaks to this recent update may be helpful.

I find the new sleep data very confusing as most have already documented.  I don't understand why they would want to mess with a process that we have had for some time.

I hate it mine says I only sleep 49 minutes and I know I  was sleeping at least 4 hours at the least!

Really want the old one back.Don't fix something that isn't broke!

As others have said, I HATE the new redesign for the sleep data.  I used to check this first thing every morning.  Now I can't make any sense of it.  WHY in the world would you change something like this for absolutely NO REASON whatsoever??  It worked GREAT before you screwed it up!!!  Bring the old version back & get rid of this nonsense!!!

I was shocked to see the latest change to the sleep data. What was wrong with the previous display? It was so much easier to read and decipher.  This new update is way too difficult to interpret.  The colors are so muted that I can't identify the difference from one range to the other. I feel this latest update is terrible, just terrible! Why fix something that ain't broke?
Bring back the previous version and leave well enough alone!

This is a terrible update.  Difficult to comprehend.  Time to switch to a different fitness watch.

I'm so relieved to find all these posts! I thought I'd lost what's left of my mind from lack of sleep after FITBIT basically broke the sleep mode of their app! I loaded and re loaded 3 times before I decided to google and find out if everyonr else is experiencing this s*** show! And can someone explain to me why I'm suppose to move my fitbit to Google account. Did Google buy fitbit? I'm sleepless in Spokane! I am researching new watches! I have a Samsung GEAR 3 but it's too heavy to sleep in. Any other recommendations? I'm positive that I'm not going to continue to pay for Fitbit premium when I get nothing for my money!

really ineffective views in the update.  sleep stages too small to see when you moved from one stage to the next,  which is a necessary reason for having a fitbit. it doesn't allow to change to a landscape view that made it easier to read. the looks is very childish looking. no longer can see the weekly views for comparison.

I agree with all the negative reactions of the Fitbit sleep. It takes longer to see how many hours I slept. I work night shift so it's very important to me to check my hours of sleep when I wake up in the afternoon. In addition, I noticed that my Fitbit versa died so fast and not even recorded my sleep. I charged my Fitbit fully charged before I wear it going to sleep.

Google is trying very hard to force people to upgrade to the paid subscription version of the app.  I tried it and it's a rip off.  It provides nothing.  Now they are transferring the unpaid features to paid so you must upgrade to get them.  I'll be searching for another non Fitbit device if Google continues to move in this direction.  Samsungs looking way more appealing these days.

Google is basically interested in killing the Fitbit line in all but name and forcing users with Fitbit devices to move to Pixel watches.

I can not stand that these companies keep changing this for the worst. Who ever thought this was a good idea should be fired or demoted. It is the most confusing sleep app to read now. Even opening the app in the morning isn't smooth. It takes 2 tries to go through. Since you had your hands on FITBIT Google has destroyed it. The only reason I got FITBIT charge HR and then charge5 was because they fit a small wrist. All the others are bigger than my wrist. Not everyone has a huge wrist to hold huge faces on the watch. The price of your premium plan is way too expensive for what I use. I only need the sleep and heart information at my age. The videos etc. should be a different cost.
Go back to the original sleep charts and forget this nonsense.

Glad I am not alone, I too hate the sleep app change. Horrible, hard to read. Inaccurate information. Nothing was wrong with the way it was, easy to read. Ever since the app change my watch has difficulty daily finding my phone so I can't sync it. Sometimes twice a day. I have reset,turned watch off & on, removed & reinstalled but nothing will fix it. So now multiple times a day I have to turn watch off then back on to sync with my phone. My watch is only 1.5 years old, pisses me off! As a senior I can't afford a new watch already. Guess I too will look at other brands for a replacement!

I hate the new update for all the same reasons as everyone else. This update is a mess up of what was a good app. Fix this update with a backwards update and return the old version.

Asking a customer to go to the comment section and leave a review is basically saying them to screw off.

This new and "improved" Fitbit sleep diagram/chart is horrible, definitely not user friendly.

I first thought that there was a fault with the sleep section but then realised it's been changed and looks completely different. It's very hard to interpret sleep stats, it's not user friendly at all. Why change something that isn't broken? I don't get a clear breakdown of sleep stats like I used to with the old format. I wish Fitbit reverts it back to how it was. So many users are complaining that the change isn't helpful and they should listen to their customers.

Totally agree with all fitbit users, this is the worst sleep format. The person who designed it doesn't deserve to be with fitbit. I am definitely going for a different brand in a months time if fitbit doesn't revert to the old sleep format. I am a with fitbit for almost 10 years. Gave away an Apple smart watch that I received for my last birthday. Going to check out the Samsung smartwatch watch!

I've posted numerous times on two different FibBit community support. This whole thing is really beyond belief! I can not express how utterly disappointed and frustrated I am! I hate the new format with a vengeance for the many reasons everybody has expressed very eloquently. Just read another post which says the following; I forgot to add they're discontinuing Fitbit in 28 countries in favor of the Google Pixel!!!! The writing is on the wall!
I'll be looking for a replacement asap, most likely Apple Watch!

I'm with the rest. I detest the new sleep tracking! Hard to read, hard to figure out, and totally unpleasant to attempt to make heads or tails of the data. The original was so succinct; the new one is chaotic. It's the most important feature for me, and now it's virtually unusable.

I had just updated my older Fitbit when the downgrade to the sleep log went live. I returned it. I got sick this week, it registered NONE of the extra naps and this morning there was no overnight sleep logged at all. I added it, then synced the band. Solid black. So the sleep function no longer works at all.  I will find another brand and am done with Fitbit.

I also had recommended to a friend exactly for the sleep info, had to call them and say forget it.

I totally agree with you all. Its rubbish! I have a fitbit to monitor sleep, heart rate during exercise and daily steps. The sleep app doesn't work on,opening the app in the morning, I have to try multiple times. I was offered 12 months premium  free when I got this at Christmas, only they want your bank details to hold. Why I asked, its policy they said. Well its not free then....I'm paying with my data that you keep for 12 months even before I need to start paying!! Disappointed with the service. I think Google want to dump fitbit so making life difficult for us all. Grrrrr

The change to the sleep format is horrible. Been using the old sleep format for 8 years worked fine. Now I don't  even know how to interpret it. Very disappointing. I guess my husband & I will need to fine another brand of trackers after 8 years .  We were happy with Fitbit not anymore.
