Lenovo, Microsoft and others are rumoured to be some of the first OEMs to release Snapdragon X laptops to rival recent MacBook Air and MacBook Pro generations. Now, more evidence has emerged that Windows 11 will require at least 16 GB of RAM for its reputed 'AI Explorer'.https://www.notebookcheck.net/Evidence-mounts-of-Lenovo-ThinkPad-T14s-Gen-6-and-Microsoft-Surface-Pro-10-with-Qualcomm-Snapdragon-X-launching-with-at-least-16-GB-RAM.830600.0.html
Is there a typo? Gen 6?
The current T14s available for purchase is the gen 4, which would make this new version the T14s gen 5, not gen 6?

No typo. Leaked images of the Snapdragon model show it being called the Gen 6.

Lenovo announced the Gen 5 with Intel Meteor Lake in February at MWC 2024.

Gen 5 is already available in the US.

Appreciate the clarification Alex. Surprised Lenovo is incrementing the generation instead of releasing the snapdragon model as a gen 5 variant since the gen 5 was just announced a few months ago like you said.
I look forward to more comprehensive reviews and benchmarks. I think 16Gb RAM given how many of these devices will probably not have the ability to add more RAM is a good decision. But I still have some skepticism about ARM on Windows and so I will wait to see how much hype is attached.
