According to the latest rumors, the iPhone 17 Pro will be the world's first smartphone with a 2 nm ARM chip. This would give Apple a massive advantage over the competition because, according to TSMC, the N2 process ensures up to 30% lower power consumption.https://www.notebookcheck.net/30-more-efficient-15-faster-Apple-iPhone-17-Pro-to-be-first-smartphone-with-2-nm-ARM-chip.826060.0.html
Well sure, the 'node' used might OFFER up to %30 more power efficient HOWEVER I'd guess that Apple elected to ALL OF THAT (and then some!) on the trendy "AI" enhancements.
The $64 question is: can a user DISABLE the AI nonsense and get back the lost potential battery run time?
30% more efficient! I can't wait!!!!
I'm setting up a tent near the Apple cathedral to be the first one to get the best iPhone ever!

If you watch the videos by Phawx (AMD APU Handheld reviewer). He explains how 7840U handhelds are slightly more power efficient than Z1 Extreme handhelds even though both are essentially the exact same chip besides XDNA portion being disabled. That the most likely reason for this efficiency difference is because the XDNA chip part uses AI to make the overall chip more efficient.
Can I have my $64 now? ;-)
